When I was working at Yahoo I was scared to get up in the morning. I always felt that the company is surely going to close down today. The worst part is that I saw that the management guys really did not do much to save the situation. They looked pretty relaxed. I am lucky that I got another job and moved from there.

The company once had a great future, but the recent turmoils have left it in shambles. Now we are not sure where we are heading! The management never spells anything for us and the people in office seem to pay more attention to what is going to happen than concentrate on the jobs in hand! If this continue, the future is really bleak!

I am very exhausted with all the work I do at Yahoo and also very sad at the ridiculous salary that I get in return. The benefits are also very average and fail to meet the current industry standards. I have a great team of young people working under me and I feel bad that they also do not get as much pay as they deserve. I try to give them maximum bonuses but that is also getting difficult because of the tightening of the company budget. These people are soon going to go from here.

As an employee at Yahoo my suggestion to the company is that please start giving bonuses because only happy people will be able to give good performance. The pay structure is also very unfair and the management personnel are highly paid while we get just about average pay. Another problem that we face is that we work very hard but the senior posts are filled with people who won’t be retiring soon, which gives us hardly any chances of promotions. These people hardly do any positive work and spend their time at office politicizing different issues.

Well at Yahoo we are constantly living with the fear of takeover by Microsoft. The company has been making loses for the last few years and as an employee here I can tell that the morale is at an all time low. It is extremely sad that the people working in lead roles are not are not at all trying to encourage us and instead of searching for ways to salvage the situation they seem to have resigned to fate. The management is also acting strangely and while we are always discussing how we can all try to do something they are busy with their politics.

Call me a party hater or a boring person, but I don??™t like the ???party-all-time??? nvironment in many department of Yahoo. Also by allowing people to work from home, much productive hours are lost as many misuses this benefits. A little bit of discipline is needed to raise the stock price.

Politics is going to bring the downfall of this company because I see the management always bickering with each other over the same projects or calling useless meeting displaying total lack of fortitude and direction. I am a Yahoo employee in India and the management in US has a tendency to look down at us with an air of superiority and is always giving silly reasons to justify why we are not getting our deserved promotions and raises. I feel that the only way to advance my career here will be to somehow get transferred to the US and then come back here.

The thing I love the most about my work in Yahoo is the really cool atmosphere and truly there can be no office more fun than ours. The people I work with are very competent in their jobs and this really encourages me to give my best to my work. The salary I get at Yahoo is really fantastic and the benefits offered by the company are better than any of the other companies I have ever heard of. The work I do at Yahoo keeps me connected to the people and give me an opportunity to get insights into what the people over the globe are thinking and what they want.
