I got married about six months ago and I am sure that my husbandn will leave me if things stay the way they are now. Th work pressure is simply impossible to cope with and have any time left for family life. I have to work even on weekends. My boss does not allow us to flexitime and all my leave applications are being rejected. Please give me a break.

The leadership is totally confused about what to do in a crisis situation like this. No one is guiding the junior staff like us. I am totally disgusted with the situation here. The moment the scenario improves I am getting out.

I love my job here as I get a chance to work under various kinds of project. The office atmosphere is quite relaxed and the superiors are a helpful lot. The salary can be a bit better but then again, given present scenario, that does not seem to be possible.

When I worked at Verizon I was stuck with the worst manager in the world. This guy was only interested in showing everyone that he was a great leader. He would always take up many projects at the same time and set impossible deadlines for us. I had to work so hard that sometimes I felt I would collapse on my desk. There were no leaves and I never even managed to get out of office on time even once. The saddest part was that though I worked so hard I never got any appreciation for my manager.

At Verizon, politics and back biting is reaching an alarming level. Since this is a big company, getting promotion can be tough. But what I hate is that you have to know the right people and pull the right string to get that promotion and not hard work. The department where I am at now is very corrupted with corrupted managers from bottom to top. You need to know how to kiss ass your boss to survive here.

In general Verizon is not a very bad place to work if I keep doing my job in time and this is because I have one of the better managers in the company. For my colleagues life is pretty difficult here because most of the people working as team leads are extremely incompetent and they always try to get maximum done by the team members without ever appreciating them. This means that most of the people working here end up working double yet never get the raises the deserve because their bosses are scared that these guys might take away their positions.

I am about to leave Verizon and there are several reasons which compelled me to get out of this place. There is not one person here who appreciates the good work done by any employee and the only people who get recognized here are those who can suck up to their bosses. The environment is not at all encouraging or supporting here. The management is also busy with their back biting and shameless politics. I have been working here for two years and I am very happy that now I can get out of this place.

I love my job here in Verizon because they have excellent benefit. But the fact that I sometime end up doing three people??™s work is something I hate! It was a good place to start my career and I must acknowledge the great experiences I have gained from here. Hence I wish to continue working here despite that fact that the company is downsizing. I am ready to move to New Jersey where the headquarter is located though I don??™t know if the pay will be enough to live in an expensive city as New Jersey.

Verizon is a very big telecommunications company and that means I have to deal with a comparable size of politics all over my office. Everyone is interested about themselves and the people in senior positions consider themselves as kings. Favoritism is rampart in all the divisions and promotions are strictly based on your equation with your boss. Every day I am losing interest in my work here because the place has no future for people like me who are more interested in working rather than sucking up to someone. I do not see any chance of advancing my career in this political war field.

I have been with the company for a long time and reached the present management level after years of hard wok. Verizon is a huge telecommunications company and I had the opportunity to experience some great networking technologies here. As a company Verizon has been very lenient with me allowing me to set my own schedules and doing a lot of work from home thus giving me a chance to maintain work life balance. I am happy with the pay I get here and all the benefits offered by the company are quite good compared to other companies. But getting to this position has been a challenge; had to get involved in office politics which I hate and I have seen people getting promoted for they knew the right people and not because they were good in the job.
