He's a good business executive with strong technology background (which is important here at Google). I like that he seems to be grounded and down-to-earth and doesn't follow the excesses of some other Silicon Valley CEOs.
He balances well the style of Sergey and Larry and the trio still seems to be working well together.
Though, I do think he's a bit out of his element with the layoffs and all the cost-cutting.

He's a good manager that helped build Google into what it became and is widely considered to have provided the right type of adult oversight.
Based on my (admittedly) limited interactions, he seems like a thoughtful guy.
Not a flashy character but that suits my taste.
In spirit of feedback, he could try to be a bit more engaging/inspirational now as times are tougher.

The problem with Eric is that he has to fill the position of a great leader. That is why he gets unfavorable reviews though he is quite a competent and mature leader. People will slowly realize that.

I am not a fan of Mr. Eric because he is, in many way responsible for the change of the easy working environment of Google. I joined the company just because of it and now my office has become stuffy and mechanical!

Perfect guy to run the company in the present troubled times. He is a great person and we feel proud to be working with such a good leader.
